Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork is the highest voluntary credential a massage therapist can obtain within the profession—it is above and beyond entry level state licensure. By becoming Board Certified, I represent a community of therapists who have gone above standard educational and work experience requirements with a dedicated and lifelong commit to continuing education. Furthermore, I live up to higher standards and ethics in alignment with The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
To achieve my Board Certification, I provided proof of a minimum of 750 hours of education, 250 hours of professional, hands-on work experience, passed a criminal background check, agreed to uphold NCBTMB's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, and passed the Board Certification Exam. By passing the BCETMB and meeting all requirements, I demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills, as well as a commitment to excellence. I wear the credentials BCTMB with pride for myself, my profession, and, most importantly, my clients.
Through the Academy of Clinical Massage and The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), I have earned a Specialty Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitative Massage. This specialty designation serves as proof of my advanced knowledge and experience necessary for working with musculoskeletal pain and injury complaints.
To achieve this specialty, I completed a 160-hour, nationally-recognized program through the Academy of Clinical Massage and passed the specialty exam through NCBTMB that focused on key facets of rehabilitation science, including: anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, pathology, kinesiology, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning. I also completed two hands-on, live workshops to further my advanced massage training in assessment and treatment of pain and injury conditions. I have been trained from instructors who use a diversity of modalities and techniques from across the field to provide a wide-range of treatment options.
My Specialty Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitative Massage is recognized by the massage therapy profession's only certification board (NCBTMB) and is embraced nationwide by fellow key stakeholders, including employers.
In full recognition for her exemplary performance in providing humanitarian services to the organization and support the noble objectives of the Foundation in order to uphold the Complimentary, Traditional and Alternative Health Care in different government agencies and non-government organization in the country.
In 2007, I joined the Steiner Ltd. for one and only contract. The contract is 8 months. On my third month, with medical director, Steiner Upper Management and Spa Managers, allowed me to launch and perform Traditional Thai Massage.
